Our Story

Tautfest Home Design Center started its humble beginning as Tautfest Hardware in 1946. In 1960, Tautfest moved to its current location. During 70 plus years in business, Tautfest has had three generations of owners. Each generation brought a new phase of evolution and innovation to the company.

Today the third generation, David Steven and Kelly Tautfest, deliver cutting edge home design with the same grass roots customer service that Grandpa Tautfest had in the old hardware store. David is a business graduate of SWOSU, his roots are in Weatherford, OK. He has a passion for the people as well as the products he sells. David has 35 years of industry experience in sales and management, including 3 years of high-end appliance and mattress sales and management in Sarasota, Florida. David has worked hard to ensure that Tautfest maintains connection with each customer long after a sales transaction. With a service department second to none, Tautfest has earned the reputation of being 'the place to go' for home appliances.

Kelly Tautfest is Tautfest's chief interior designer. Kelly graduated from Thomas High School in Thomas, OK. She then moved to the west coast to be trained in interior design by some of the best in the industry. She brings her 25 years of design experience to assist customers in creating the home of their dreams. Kelly and her design team work closely with today's top furniture designers to give customers the best quality for the best price. If you can dream it, the Tautfest Design Team can make it happen.
